Paper Pregnant
We received our USCIS immigration biometric fingerprint appointment 2/21. We will submit our dossier to be translated into French in the next few weeks!!! And off to Haiti hopefully by early to mid March! B is officially paper ready to be adopted. Our agency believes we I'll be matched in the next 2-6 months!!!! Ahhhhhhh they are working at record speeds to make sure we can get our son home! Child referrals in Haiti usually take years and in our case it could be only weeks to a few months for referral. We will travel to Haiti for 2 weeks for our socialization trip when we are evaluated by Haitian government and adoption becomes official then it will take 6-12 months til we can return to Haiti to bring B home. Lots of legal paperwork making B an official citizen of the 🇺🇸 of course these timelines can change, we trust the timing. We are asking for specific prayers 1. B is matched with us! Since he is paper ready and we are a few weeks from submitting there is a chance he could be matched with another family but the odds are luckily in our favor given B's special needs but prayers that he is matched with us. 2. Pray for immigration and USCIS to remain open to international adoption as we all know right now is a very trying time for immigration into our country prayers that doors remain open for our adoption and we can get in and out fast. 3. Prayers for our paperwork to be perfect and passed through IBSR without any issue. 4. Continued prayers for B's health and his heart his little world is about to drastically change he won't understand how much we love and adore him at first and this will be difficult for him as he is taken from the only home he has ever known. 5. Prayers for us as we embark on this exciting journey we are a bit overwhelmed with adoption paperwork you would think we were experts but it's so different this time around. But I know we can do it!!!
